Cylia E. Lowe, Esq., is the Senior Advisor to the President of Gamma Xi Phi Professional Arts Fraternity. She currently serves as the President of the Junior League of Baltimore and is the first African American to hold that position in the JLB’s 103-year history. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Moveable Feast, Women’s’ Law Center of Maryland, and the Pro Bono Counseling Project. She is an active member of the Patapsco River (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and the Epsilon Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., as well as the Monumental City Bar Association.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Lowe graduated with a degree in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2003 she graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore, School of Law with a concentration in Family Studies. She later completed her Masters degree at the University of Baltimore in Negotiations & Conflict Management. Cylia is a practicing attorney for the Federal Government specializing in the area of federal employment law. Prior to her current position, Cylia was a Prosecutor for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s office.
